Captain Jan, my son David and I are about to sail Davali to Stamford, Ct. We’re going to check out the Bahamas, stop off in Florida, and then head up the coast.
The past few months in St. Martin were lots of fun, cruising to Anguilla and St. Bart’s with friends and family. They provided great opportunities to get to know Davali better. The islands are beautiful and the food’s excellent.
We’ll be leaving in early May.

Bon voyage!
I was in st. marteen untill a month ago… I sailed to Anguilla, brithis virgin island and back to st. marteen for three months… unfortunately we didn’t meet… I was so curious to see you new Davali.
Laura, sorry we didn’t meet.
Love your blog – and your boat. Hope to be able to see you on the water one day. The new Outremer 45 is one of the sexiest boats on the market in my eyes. Do you think it would be big enough for a family of 4-5 for long-term cruising in relative comfort? Any idea on the capacity before performance starts to significantly degrade? Enjoy your trip up the coast!
Thanks Matt. I sailed across the Atlantic with 4 and it was very comfortable. I have the owners version. The boat was fast with 4 adults, full gear, extra water, fuel and food for the crossing. I do look forward to making Davali as light as possible and ripping.
